A Succulent Summer

Cacti and succulents have rapidly become one of the most popular trends in decor today. They add a fresh hint of greenery to the room with a touch of floral elegance. They require little maintenance for such an abundance of diversity. It’s no wonder brides have flocked to their florists looking for succulents to pair perfectly with their summer weddings. Here are several ways to utilize these adorable accessories into your event planning!

Well, you all knew this was coming, but how could we not appreciate the simplicity of this gorgeous bouquet? The neutral color scheme seems to enhance its rustic beauty. Who wouldn’t want to walk down the aisle with this in hand?

Once we stumbled upon this gentle assortment, we absolutely fell in love. While it may stray from the traditional towering centerpieces, this makes a statement of its own. We can almost smell the fresh spring air as we stare into the serene purple tones. Besides, people actually want to see the person they are speaking to across the table!

Engagement party, bridal shower, wedding, you name it! We love these mini plants as favors for any event. If you’re up to the task, this would make a great DIY project being that they require little effort. If not, there are several places you can purchase succulents in bulk such as Amazon, Etsy, and artificial ones at Michaels. Tiny succulents packed with affection are a lovely way to thank your guests for letting your love grow.

Have your groomsmen perfectly accent your bridesmaids and their bouquets with these succulent boutonnieres! We adore the way this pastel pair looks pressed up against a medium grey suit.

This boho, yet industrialized table runner certainly attracts the eye. The glass planters filled with succulents go so well with the evergreen garland and minimal additions of flowers. Use these on long, rectangular tables to replace the awkward placement of multiple centerpieces along one table!

We are channeling our inner flower child with this beautiful piece from SucculentArtWorks, found on Etsy. The owner, Julia, can accommodate your needs upon request whether it be for you, your bridesmaids, or flower girl(s). She not only creates these breathtaking crowns, but many other succulent creations such as wreaths, bouquets, and terrariums!

Another idea that can be turned into a DIY or purchased! Maybe if this gets enough love, we will post the DIY ourselves; who knows? This planter would make a lovely addition to the head table on your big night!

As wedding bloggers, we have seen a great deal of wedding cakes ranging from the classic three tiered to Cinderella’s castle. However, nothing quite compares to this delicacy. A clean yet magnificent cake like this proves that you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars on a cake to achieve beauty!

We hope you have enjoyed our little session about the upcoming succulent summer. We are sure these adorable plants are going to take the wedding industry by storm! Feel free to submit any photos if you, too have love for succulent decor. We absolutely love your feedback.

It won’t be long before we release another fresh set of ideas so our lovely ladies can find their muse.

Until then,

                  xo, MM
